Debate coaching for elementary and middle school

Debate coaching from people who debate.

Competitive debate in 2026 moves fast. Sun Debate Academy students learn from coaches who compete, and they’re already placing nationally.

Our philosophy

Why debate should be taught by debaters

Debate in 2026 is highly competitive. Students who start in elementary and middle school are preparing for a circuit where small strategic choices decide rounds. That knowledge comes from competing, so Sun Debate Academy is coached by debaters.

  1. 01

    Current with the activity

Topics rotate every two months and the winning arguments shift each season. Coaches who compete see those changes as they happen.

  2. 02

    Strategy learned in rounds

How judges decide, what to answer first, when to concede a point: these are learned by debating, and we teach them.

  3. 03

A coach students look up to

Students learn from someone who recently stood where they want to be and can show them how to get there.
